When San Marino travels to Northern Ireland this weekend to face the Green and White Army, their goal will be to secure their first point in Group H of EURO Qualifying.
After a promising start to their EURO 2024 qualifying campaign, Northern Ireland secured a satisfying 2-0 victory over San Marino. Unfortunately, their performance has since deteriorated, resulting in five consecutive losses for the green and white army. Nevertheless, Michael O’Neill’s team remains hopeful of breaking this streak as they face San Marino once again this weekend. Historically, Northern Ireland has triumphed over their opponents in the last five encounters, managing to keep a clean sheet in each of those games.
The worst team in Group H is San Marino. Out of almost 200 matches in all competitions, the Serenissima have only managed to win once, which was against Liechtenstein in 2004. In the European Championship qualifiers, Fabrizio Costantini’s men have not only suffered defeat in all six matches but have also conceded an average of three goals per game.
Northern Ireland vs San Marino Betting Tips: Under 3.5 goals
Despite being clear favorites, Northern Ireland will face San Marino in Saturday’s match, who have struggled to score goals lately. Out of the six games they have played, they have only managed to score a mere four goals. Additionally, five of those games concluded with two goals or less.
Since the beginning of the tournament, both offensively and defensively, San Marino has displayed weakness. Alongside Gibraltar, they are the only two teams that have failed to score throughout the competition. Out of their six games played thus far, only five have concluded with four goals or less.
- Best Tip: Under 3.5 goals
- Northern Ireland vs San Marino prediction: 3-0
