This Wednesday, the UEFA Women’s Champions League knockout phase continues in London with Chelsea hosting Ajax.
Chelsea (Wom) vs Ajax (Wom) Betting Tips: Chelsea Win / Over 2.5 goals
After securing a commanding 3:0 first leg advantage in Amsterdam last week, Chelsea will likely be confident about their chances of making it to the semi-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The Blues’ easy win was sealed with goals from Lauren James and Sjoeke Nüsken, illustrating their excellent form.
Emma Hayes’ team has secured 16 victories out of 17 matches since December, with a single home defeat being the only flaw in their otherwise outstanding winning streak.
The Blues boast an impressive record at the Bridge, having secured 19 wins out of their last 21 home games over the past ten months. In addition, at least three goals were scored in ten of their 11 most recent home victories.
Considering Chelsea’s superior performance in London, it seems unlikely that Ajax will cause a significant upset on Wednesday. The Dutch team has a record of losing four out of seven previous UCL away games since 2018, conceding a minimum of three goals in all four losses.
While Chelsea already have one foot in the semi-finals, I expect the Blues to keep their foot on the gas and a dominant home win is expected. I´m backing Hayes side to win by at least two goals with an expectation that we should see at least three goal scored at the Bridge.

Chelsea FC Wom team news
It is improbable that Ajax manager Suzanne Bakker will make significant alterations to the team that suffered a 3:0 loss in Amsterdam last week.
The Ajax forward line will be led by Romée Leuchter. The 22-year-old recently scored her second hat-trick in three matches, contributing to Ajax’s 3:2 victory against PEC Zwolle last weekend.

Ajax Wom team news
Head coach Hayes may select the same eleven players who secured a comfortable 2:0 victory against West Ham on Sunday. The skilled attacking pair of Lauren James and Sjoeke Nüsken are guaranteed to spearhead the in-form Blues’ offense.
Mia Fishel and Sam Kerr are out for an extended period due to knee injuries.
