Two promotion contenders, Bangor and Institute, are set to compete in the final game of the NIFL Championship regular phase at Bangor Fuels Arena in Bangor on Wednesday evening.

Bangor won the Premier Intermediate (third tier) last year and got the opportunity to compete in the Championship. And the Seasiders are doing an excellent job, as they have secured the Playoff spot pretty easily. Right now, they are 3^rd with 60 points, only five points away from the top spot. Before losing the last game 2:1 vs Portadown away from home, Bangor were in amazing form with four wins in a row and will look to return to winning ways at home against one of the best road teams in Institute.

Last year, Institute barely escaped relegation, finishing 11^th, just five points away from relegation. This year, the popular Sky Blues are having a much better season as they secured the Promotion Group (Playoffs). Currently, they are in 4^th place with 58 points, two away from their next opponent and seven away from the top spot. With a potential win over Bangor, Institute would finish the regular phase in 3^rd place.

Bangor vs Institute pick: Over 2.5 goals

Bangor is the most potent offensive team in the league, boasting an impressive 70 goals in 32 rounds, averaging 2.19 per game. Their scoring prowess has been particularly evident in recent games, where they’ve averaged 3.5 goals in their last four games.
