Naturally, Bayern’s winning streak was only interrupted by a surprising 5:1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt. Nevertheless, following this unexpected result, the champions bounced back with three consecutive wins against Stuttgart, Wolfsburg, and previously mentioned Hoffenheim.

Thomas Tuchel’s team continues to dominate on their home ground, having only lost one of their last 27 league games at home since a defeat to Monchengladbach two years ago. In more recent games, Bayern has emerged victorious in their last six home games, netting an impressive 28 goals, averaging over four goals per game.

Werder, currently on a trip to Munich, have remained unbeaten in their last four matches, though their last three matches ended in a draw. Holding the 13th spot in the division, Werder has accumulated only 17 points from 17 games. They are just six points away from the relegation zone.

Ole Werner’s team has been facing significant challenges in their travels for more than a year now. Werder Bremen has only managed to secure two wins out of 20 away games since October 2022 (W2, D5, L13).
