Tottenham vs Everton Betting Tips: BTTS and Over 2.5
Everton has landed in London in the midst of a winning streak, having secured seven victories in their last nine EPL games, including the last four consecutively. This is their best performance in years. The Toffees, despite a ten-point deduction, are currently 16th in the division, a safe seven points away from the relegation zone. If not for the ten-point deduction, Everton would be sitting in the ninth spot.
Sean Dyche’s team has shown remarkable performance in their recent travels. They have secured victories in five of their last six away games in the English Premier League. This includes a 1:0 win against West Ham during their most recent visit to London.
Surely, the Toffees are bracing for a tough challenge this weekend as Spurs come in strong with consecutive victories over Newcastle and Nottingham Forest in the last two weeks. Before their crucial win against the Magpies at the TH Stadium, Spurs had suffered three consecutive losses. After an impressive start to the season that saw them at the top of the Premier League, Postecoglu’s team is now fifth in the standings, only six points behind their top rivals and current leaders, Arsenal.
Spurs have recently been struggling with defensive issues, and out of their last seven home games, they’ve only managed one clean sheet. Six of those games saw both teams scoring (BTTS), and given Everton’s excellent form, a similar outcome is expected on Saturday. Interestingly, only three of Tottenham’s last 14 home games in the EPL did not experience BTTS and more than 2.5 goals scored. In fact, both these scenarios occurred in each of the last four games.
While Everton don´t have the greatest of records at this ground, Dyche seems to have his side now operating at a much higher level than in seasons gone by. Given those improvements, and Spurs penchant for a high-scoring home fixture, I fancy BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored this festive weekend.
