Lyon’s start to the season was decidedly poor, occupying the bottom of the table for the majority of the first 15 rounds. Lille are experiencing a strong season in all their competitions so far. They currently sit 4th in Ligue 1, just a point away from a direct qualifying spot for the Champions League. Although the title seems unachievable, given PSG’s dominance this season, a top-three finish appears quite feasible. The Mastiffs’ main challenge is their performance on the road.
