Last year, Lecco ranked third in Serie C’s regular phase and successfully advanced to Serie B via the playoffs. However, due to their stadium falling below the competition standards, it appeared that Lecco might not compete in Serie B. Notably, all three successful results were achieved on away games, instilling a much-needed confidence boost that will hopefully enable them to clinch their first home win of the season.

It’s likely that no one anticipated Spezia’s dismal start to the season, with just one win in 11 rounds. As it stands, they’ve only managed to score eight goals, making them the second weakest offensive team in the league. A key factor in their poor offensive performance is the departure of their top striker, M’Bala Nzola. His replacements, Luca Moro and Francesco Pio Esposito, have not been able to perform at the expected level. Recently, they’ve been unable to score in four out of their last five games.
