Juventus was expected to rank second last season and participate in this season’s Champions League. However, due to non-football-related issues, the team known as the Old Lady ended up in 7th place and received a one-year UEFA ban. Being unable to compete in Europe, many predicted that they would win the Scudetto as they could dedicate their efforts to domestic competitions. Throughout the majority of the season, the Old Lady was on par with Inter. But after only one victory in their last six games, the championship now seems far out of reach. Currently, they are in third place with 58 points, trailing 17 points behind the league’s leader.

Genoa, after enduring relegation in the 2021/22 season following 15 straight seasons in Serie A, made an immediate comeback the next season. The Griffin is having an impressive run this year, currently standing 12th with 33 points &— a comfortable nine points clear of the relegation zone. Despite a recent slump, with Genoa only securing four points in their last five matches, the Griffin faced a challenging schedule. After their upcoming match against Juve, they can anticipate less demanding games against Frosinone and Verona.

Juventus vs Genoa pick: Over 2.5 goals

Throughout the season, Juventus has displayed excellent defensive skills, typically resulting in low-scoring games. Recently, however, their performance has faltered as they’ve been unable to maintain a clean sheet in their last seven matches.
