- Venue: Dens Park
Two teams in the Scottish Premiership, separated by just two places, Dundee and Aberdeen, will face off on Wednesday night with Dundee as the host.
Dundee last played about two weeks ago, when they hosted Kilmarnock for the 29th matchday of the 2023-24 Scottish Premiership season. Tony Docherty’s team started strong, scoring a goal merely six minutes into the game, but couldn’t maintain their lead, resulting in a drawn match. Despite being without a win in their last three games, the hosts remain optimistic due to their consistent good performances at Dens Park over the recent weeks.
Aberdeen’s performance this season is unpredictable, placing them in the bottom three. Neil Warnock’s team managed a 3-1 win against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup quarterfinals last weekend. However, prior to this, they had a streak of five league games without a win. They are also heading into Wednesday’s game following four straight away losses.
Dundee vs Aberdeen Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals
Despite the hosts’ recent lack of victories, they consistently score goals, particularly at home. Dundee has managed to score at least once in nine of their last ten matches across all competitions, and they are likely to score in this match as well. In the last four matches played at Dens Park, only one resulted in less than 2.5 goals. The Dark Blues seem to have a knack for scoring.
Aberdeen have been netting goals with ease recently, a trend mirrored by their hosts Dundee. In nine out of their last ten matches in all competitions, both teams have managed to score at least one goal. Their last two games have witnessed at least three goals each, a streak that I anticipate will carry on into Wednesday’s match.
- Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals
- Dundee vs Aberdeen prediction: 2-2

Dundee team news
Considering there were no injuries reported in the recent draw with Kilmarnock, it’s probable that head coach Tony Docherty will choose not to alter his team of eleven.
Jordan McGhee and Dara Costelloe are both only one yellow card away from facing a suspension. However, the hosts have no immediate concerns as they prepare for Aberdeen’s visit.

Aberdeen team news
Graeme Shinnie will not be available for Aberdeen on Wednesday due to a suspension.
The midfielder received his fifth yellow card of the 2023-24 Scottish Premiership season in the loss to St Mirren last weekend, resulting in a mandatory one match suspension.
Nicky Devlin, Richard Jensen, Stefan Gartenmann, Jamie McGrath, and Duk are all just a yellow card away from facing a suspension, however, there are no injury concerns for the visiting team.
