Chelsea and Leicester City will compete for a spot in the FA Cup semi-finals at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Since their loss to Liverpool in the EFL Cup final at the end of last month, Chelsea FC has been quite impressive to watch. The Blues are heading into this weekend’s game riding a three-match undefeated streak, with two wins and a draw. Even though their defence remains a bit unstable, Mauricio Pochettino’s team has recently been extremely effective in the final third. Certainly, Chelsea fans are pleased with this turn of events, considering the numerous missed opportunities their team had earlier in the season.
Meanwhile, Leicester City seemed set to easily clinify the Championship title, but they were dethroned. The downfall began with their fifth seasonal loss against Middlesbrough. Following this, they suffered consecutive losses and most recently ended in a 2-2 draw with Hull City.
Chelsea vs Leicester City Betting Tips: Chelsea to win
The Blues had a challenging game against Championship side, Leeds United, in Round 5. They needed a last-minute goal from Conor Gallagher to win. It’s expected that Sunday’s game will follow a similar pattern. However, it’s worth noting that Chelsea has advanced from seven out of their last eight FA Cup games against Leicester City, a fact that can’t be overlooked.
Recently, Leicester City’s performance has been less than ideal. Their away record against Chelsea is also dismal, with only one victory from their last 13 visits to Stamford Bridge.
- Best Tip: Home team to win
- Chelsea vs Leicester City prediction: 2-1
