Burnley’s battle to ensure their position in the top flight will persist this weekend. The Clarets are set to face Brighton & Hove Albion at the Falmer Stadium.
Historically, Brighton has been one of the Premier League teams primarily focused on avoiding relegation. However, after achieving their first-ever qualification for European football last season, expectations for the team have soared. Roberto de Zerbi’s squad has only experienced four losses this season, but an excess of draws has kept them from breaking into the top seven.
Burnley aimed to capitalize on their previous 5-0 victory against Sheffield United when they faced Wolves for Match Day 14 in midweek. The team, led by Vincent Kompany, began strongly. However, an injury to their dynamic forward, Luca Koleosho, just 36 minutes into the game, shifted the momentum, resulting in a loss. The Clarets have now experienced defeats in their last five away games. Yet, the 3-0 win during their most recent visit to Falmer Stadium should provide some consolation to Burnley supporters.
Brighton vs Burnley Betting Tips: Both teams to score
Brighton’s failure to secure a place in Europe can be largely attributed to their unstable defense. De Zerbi’s team has managed to score at least one goal in all of their fifteen Premier League matches this season, however, they didn’t keep a clean sheet in any of them. Furthermore, in their last three matches against the visitors, they were unable to prevent the opposition from scoring.
Burnley is also struggling with defensive issues. They haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League this season and have let in the second-highest number of goals. Kompany’s team has managed to score in three of their last four matches, so a goal in this match can be reasonably anticipated.

The 19-year-old is accompanied on the visitors’ list of non-attendees by Nathan Redmond and Lyle Foster, who are respectively unavailable due to injury and depression.
It is anticipated that Jay Rodriguez and Zeki Amdouni will team up in the final third, while Nathan Redmond and Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson are vying for starting positions in the midfield.
