Norwich City aims to maintain their ambitions of finishing in the top six when they play against Middlesbrough at an away game on Wednesday.
Middlesbrough, after a series of five games without a win, managed to beat league leaders Leicester City at the King Power Stadium two weeks ago. However, they failed to duplicate that performance. Michael Carrick’s team fell in their last two league games without scoring any goal. They have not been performing well at home recently, as they haven’t won any of their last five home Championship games.
Norwich City, on the other hand, have transformed into a completely different team since the beginning of the year. In fact, the Canaries have only lost one game out of their ten Championship matches in 2024, with six wins and four draws. However, David Wagner’s team may lack confidence approaching Wednesday’s game, given they have lost their last three Championship encounters with Middlesbrough.
Middlesbrough vs Norwich City Betting Tips: Both teams to score
Michael Carrick’s team has been struggling with defence recently. Prior to Wednesday’s game, Middlesbrough has had a streak of nine games in a row without maintaining a clean sheet. I am doubtful that this streak will be broken in the upcoming match against Norwich City.
The visitors also lack a strong defence. Although Norwich City managed to maintain a clean sheet in their previous victory against Sunderland, it was their first in eight matches across all competitions. During this period, bets on both teams to score (btts) &— yes, have been successful a record eight times.

Middlesbrough team news
Injury will once again render Darragh Lenihan unavailable to Middlesbrough head coach Michael Carrick.
The defender has been sidelined since November because of an ankle injury, and he won’t be ready for Wednesday’s game. However, the home team has no other missing players.

Norwich City team news
David Wagner, the head coach, might not make any changes to his starting eleven as Norwich City recorded no injuries in their win over Sunderland.
Ashley Barnes and Christian Fassnacht are both on the verge of a suspension, needing only one more yellow card. However, apart from this, the visiting team has no other members missing ahead of the journey to the Riverside.
