Everton vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips &— Under 2.5 Goals
Everton’s performance has recently declined after an impressive streak earlier in the season. Between the end of October and the beginning of December, they secured seven victories over a six-week span. However, the Toffees have not been able to win any of their last six matches.
After suffering a disheartening penalty shootout loss to Fulham in the League Cup, Everton went on to lose three consecutive matches. This was followed by two successive nil-nil draws against Palace ten days prior and at a home game against Aston Villa on Sunday. Sean Dyche’s squad has been struggling with a scoring drought, netting a mere three goals in their past six games, and failing to score at all in their last three matches.
Palace is heading north in similar unimpressive form. The Eagles have only managed to secure one win in their last ten games, although they’ve shown some improvement lately, suffering only one loss in their last five matches (W1, D3, L1).
Though the visitors have experienced BTTS in four out of their last five away games, I anticipate a more closely contested match on Wednesday. Given their uneventful draw in London earlier this month, combined with both teams’ winning form shortage, it seems most probable that we will witness another close and low-scoring match in Liverpool.
With that in mind, I´m taking under 2.5 goals as my top pick while I wouldn’t be surprised to see this tie needing extra-time or penalties to decide a winner.
