Both teams are entering this Premier League match having had difficulty securing league victories in the recent months.

Following a 2:0 loss at Arsenal this past weekend, Brighton will be making a brief trip to London. Roberto de Zerbi’s team has only managed to secure two wins in their last ten league matches, as their European exploits seem to be impacting their local performance.

Palace’s performance has been even less impressive, having not won any of their last ten EPL matches. However, Roy Hodgson’s team has shown improvement in their last two games, despite a tough 2:1 loss against Liverpool, they managed an impressive 2:2 draw against reigning champions Man City, coming from behind.

However, Palace has been struggling at home, failing to secure a win in their last six games, with their sole victory against Wolves this season. The Eagles have suffered four consecutive losses at Selhurst Park, with three of those games seeing both teams score (BTTS) and more than 2.5 goals.

This fixture has historically been closely contested at this venue, but goals from both sides are anticipated. Looking back to 2018, all six prior EPL matches between these teams at Selhurst Park had both teams scoring (BTTS). More recently, both teams have scored in each of their last five matches, which seems a likely outcome for Thursday’s game, especially considering Brighton’s track record in this area.

Indeed, while Brighton failed to score against Arsenal last time out, De Zerbi´s side have seen BTTS in 12 of their last 13 away EPL matches. With that in mind, I’m confident we will see a repeat outcome on Thursday.
