Scotland, already guaranteed a spot at next summer’s event in Germany, will play their last Group A qualifying game on Sunday evening. The game will take place in the UK, with the Tartan Army hosting Norway.
Scotland’s chances of winning Group A took a hit in the November international break, following their draw with Georgia. Considering Spain’s advantage in goal difference, a draw with Georgia in the upcoming weekend will suffice for La Roja to secure the Group A win, regardless of whether Georgia defeats Norway.
Norway’s hopes for a top-two finish in Group A were dashed by a 0-1 loss to Spain last month. However, their chance at securing a play-off position is not solely within their control. Based on their position in last year’s Nations League table, they will only secure a spot if two teams out of Iceland, Israel, Ukraine, and Finland qualify automatically. This is because play-off places are determined by performance in the previous Nations League.
Scotland vs Norway Betting Tips: Under 2.5 goals
Excluding the latest two games where Scotland let in two goals each time, Steve Clarke’s team has demonstrated excellent defense since the beginning of this tournament. In four out of their seven EURO 2024 qualifiers, the Scots have managed to keep a clean sheet, a feat only equaled by Spain in this group. Of the four clean sheets, three were achieved at home games, two of which concluded with two or fewer goals scored.
Norway has maintained only a single clean sheet in EURO 2024 qualifying. However, the Lions demonstrated defensive strength in their latest encounters with Scotland’s Tartan Army. In the most recent two matches between these countries on Scottish turf, only one goal was scored.
- Best Tip: Under 2.5 goals

Norway team news
StÃ¥le Solbakken, Norway’s head coach, will be forced to go without Martin Odegaard once more due to an injury. The Arsenal captain was omitted from the squad in matches against Newcastle United and Sevilla prior to the international break due to fitness concerns. It was reported last weekend that the midfielder is currently dealing with a hip injury.
Erling Haaland’s participation is also uncertain after the Manchester City star reportedly sustained an ankle injury in the midweek friendly against the Faroe Islands.
Oscar Bobb, the 20-year-old from Man City, could potentially make his third international appearance after scoring his first international goal in his last game.
