After spending three consecutive seasons in the English top-flight division, United of Leeds returned to the Championship last year. They were in a solid position to avoid relegation a few rounds before the end of the season. Still, with a terrible last part of the season, they finished 19th, five points away from the safe zone. The 2023/24 season did not start as well as most football experts predicted, considering they are 9th with 13 points after nine rounds, already nine points away from 1st-placed Leicester. Also, they were terrible in the Carabao Cup, where the League Two team (Salford City) knocked out them in the 1/32-Finals.
Rangers from Queens Park are playing their 9th consecutive season in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League in the 2014/15 season. The Hoops were mostly in the lower part of the league’s table, especially in the last few seasons. This season is not looking much better since they are in 22nd place with only eight points after nine rounds. Only two teams (Rotherham and Wednesday in Sheffield) won fewer points than QPR.
United of Leeds vs QPR pick: Over 2.5 goals
United of Leeds mainly played high-scoring games in the previous period and were over 2.5 goals in three of the last four games. Sometimes, when they are having a day, they are capable of scoring three goals on their own vs weaker teams in the league. In nine rounds, they already did that three times.
Rangers from Queens Park are having massive problems defensively. With 15 allowed goals, they are among the worst defensive teams in the league. On the other hand, offensively, they have not been great, but in recent games, they are scoring almost regularly. In the last five games, they only failed to score once.
United of Leeds are surely a better team on paper, but they have been simply too inconsistent for our taste to take a -1/1.5 AH bet. Instead, we think that an over 2.5 goals bet is a much safer option for this tie.

United of Leeds team news
Wilfried Gnoto, who is their starting attacking wing, may be missed by the group due to injury. Gnoto’s absence may not be all that significant, though, as he hasn’t been great this season, only scoring one goal in six ( 442 minutes ) games. ,
Due to injuries, the group will also be missing Wilfried, Junior Firpo, and Stuart Dallas. ,
Illan Meslier, the first-choice keeper, has received harsh criticism for his achievement. Local media reports claim that Theodore Darlow may take over for QPR and mentor Daniel Farke may fire him. ,

Rangers from Queens Park team news
Jimmy Dunne, a starting key keeper from last year, was shoulder-injured and missed every game this year. One of the reasons for QPR’s subpar protective achievement thus far has been Dunne. Jimmy Dunne resumed education, according to the team website, but we don’t anticipate seeing him in the starting eleven vs. Leeds game.
Coach Gareth Ainsworth uses a starting eleven that is pretty constant, so we don’t anticipate any changes from the previous game. The only uncertainty is whether Sinclair Armstrong or Lyndon Dykes may take the lead. ,
