On Thursday evening, U21 Norway and U21 Switzerland will start their journey at the European Championship for players under 21 years. In the same group are also teams of France and Italy, so obviously, U21 Norway and U21 Switzerland will have a very hard task progressing to the next phase. 

U21 Norway played very well in the qualifications. They finished the group in first place with eight wins and two defeats. The qualifying group, where U21 Norway played, was very balanced in terms of quality, so it is quite surprising that they recorded eight wins. Still, U21 Norway have since then played in eight friendlies, where they had only a 2-3-3 record. Last weekend, they played 1-1 against Scotland U21. 

U21 Switzerland finished 2nd on the table of their group, with three points fewer than Netherlands U21. Still, that result was enough for the young Swiss team to finish as the best second-placed team in all qualifications, so they won automatic promotion to European Championship. Since the qualifiers, U21 Switzerland had two wins and three losses in friendlies. In the previous game, they lost 3-1 on the road against Germany U21. 

U21 Norway vs U21 Switzerland pick: 2.5 targets or more

U21 Norway were impressive in the attack during qualifications. They scored 26 goals in ten matches. That was enough for the team to go over 2.5 goals in nine of ten rounds. I expect U21 Norway to continue with their attacking football. 

U21 Switzerland’s last matches are high-scoring. They went over 2.5 goals in every one of the previous five games. U21 Switzerland have had some problems in defense lately and that will probably continue against U21 Norway too.
