PSG will host Monaco on Friday, with both sides coming off the November international break having maintained back to back clean sheets in the French top flight.
The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga caused a sluggish start to the domestic season for PSG, with the team failing to secure a win in their initial two matches and scoring only one goal. However, the team’s fortunes changed dramatically upon Mbappe’s return on the third matchday, as they defeated Lens 3:1 on home ground. Since then, Luis Enrique’s team has been nearly invincible in the league, suffering just one loss and heading into the international break with a five-match winning streak.
Last season was disappointing for Monaco as they failed to secure a top three finish for the first time in three years. However, the Red & Whites are making strides towards bridging that gap this season. They are currently just three points behind PSG, having earned 24 points from 12 games. Despite this, they need to improve their performance in away games; out of their seven victories this season, only two have been away from their home ground at Stade Louis II.
PSG vs Monaco Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals
Paris Saint-Germain found it easy to score in recent weeks, with Les Bleus entering the international break after consistently scoring three goals in each of their past five league games.
Monaco ranks second in this division for goal scoring, but struggles significantly with defence. In their 12 games played so far, the Red & Whites have managed to prevent their opponents from scoring only three times, and in an equal number of games, they’ve seen fewer than 2.5 goals.
- Best Tip: Over 2.5 goals
- PSG vs Monaco prediction: 2-1

PSG team news
PSG’s head coach, Luis Enrique, won’t have Warren Zaïre-Emery available for selection on Friday. The 17-year-old sustained an injury while playing for France during the international break.
Sergio Rico, Nuno Mendes, Presnel Kimpembe, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Marco Asensio, Keylor Navas, and Danilo Pereira join the Frenchman on the Blues’ injured list.
After surpassing Leonel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to become the fastest player to reach 300 goals, Mbappe will be leading the front line for Paris SG on Friday, just days later.
